For those of you that never heard for Zeus trojan – this is special bread that targets online banking users, stealing their credentials. It does implement pretty old idea for key logging. Zeus botnet however is huge and estimated to contain millions of compromised computer. Internet is full of detailed information. The trojan is active since 2007 but biggest infestations reported were in 2009 and 2010. Different modification of Zeus has appeared on the scene.
And now – no surprise here – F-Secure disclosed information for new Zeus trojan modification targeting Windows mobile devices and stealing text messages containing one time passwords.
This is the next big RED ALERT for all mobile banking clients (which number is estimated to grow up drastically in next 2 years).
